All in all, not a bad night’s work for Leicester City.
They might well have lost their Champions League quarter final first leg against Atletico Madrid, but only by the solitary goal.
If you were keeping an eye on Twitter during the game, you’ll be aware that most of the tweets about it focused on the penalty decision which allowed Antoine Griezmann to give the Spanish side the night’s only goal. Although the French international was undoubtedly fouled by Marc Albrighton, the incident clearly took place outside of the Leicester penalty area.
Elsewhere on Twitter, we thoroughly enjoyed this, from Carl Jones – undoubtedly tweet of the night.
Carl shared footage from the game from behind the Atletico goal. It shows the home side play the ball to the edge of the Leicester box, where Diego Godin head the ball in the direction of goal, to be gathered by Kasper Schmeichel.
What makes this particularly amusing is the way in which the overhead camera sweeps across the frame as the ball is nodded down by Godin – the camera angle making it look like a near perfectly timed run from an attacking player. As Carl points out, the camera appears to narrowly fail to make contact with the ball…
