Paralysed former rugby player creates inspiring Andy Murray portrait

JOE

Henry Fraser, a former rugby player who was paralysed as a teenager, has created an incredible portrait of tennis star Andy Murray using just his mouth.

The one-time England hopeful has not let his disability stop him from making the most of his artistic talents, and shared the sketch with Murray ahead of the number three seed’s Wimbledon first round match against Mikhail Kukushkin.

Fraser, whose brother Will plays professional Rugby Union for Saracens, has taken up mouth drawing since being paralysed from the shoulders down after suffering damage to his spinal cord while on holiday in Portugal aged 17.

His other subjects include chef Gordon Ramsay and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, while he has also created a mouth painting of England rugby star Jonny Wilkinson.

Murray made light work of his first round opponent from Kazakhstan, winning in straight sets to set up a second-round meeting with Robin Haase of The Netherlands.
