It’s impossible to predict what Manchester City will look like next season under Pep Guardiola, but that hasn’t stopped people from trying.
Spanish publication Sport predicted just five members of the current squad would be first-choice picks next season, while Sky Sports‘ Tony Cascarino has gone with the same number.
But Cascarino’s line-up – with Joe Hart, Vincent Kompany, Kevin de Bruyne, David Silva and Sergio Aguero the only survivors – hasn’t gone down too well.
Mind you, it’s probably the new additions who have brought him most of the criticism.

One of the best squads in Europe and a near-unlimited budget, and people think he’ll move for Seamus Coleman and Marcelo? Twitter isn’t convinced.
People weren’t just picking holes in the selection, they were properly going in on it…
