Most football clubs don’t have a hope in hell of tempting Luis Suarez away from Barcelona.
But most clubs’ managers don’t have a top agent and top negotiator – whose agency just happens to represent the striker – for a brother.
The Sunday Express report that incoming Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola will enlist the help of brother and agent Pere to help convince Suarez to trade Camp Nou for the Etihad.
And a purported deal would include City paying the final £13m instalment owed by Barcelona to Liverpool for the 2014 transfer of the Uruguayan.
Suarez has scored 44 goals in 46 appearances for club and country this season, with his last strike coming in Uruguay’s World Cup qualifying draw against Brazil.
He is one of a number of reported targets for Guardiola ahead of his summer arrival in England, with others including Manuel Neuer, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Alvaro Morata.
