You’ll be hearing a lot about Christian Cueva in the hours to come.
The Peruvian winger scored the first goal in his country’s 2-2 Copa America draw with Ecuador, but that’s only half the story.
Cueva – not to be confused with Chelsea youngster Cristian Cuevas – produced the kind of turn to rival Dennis Bergkamp’s famous effort against Newcastle United.
Rather than holding up the ball when it reaches him on the edge of the box, the Sao Paulo-bound player opts to nudge the ball past the approaching Ecuador defender while spinning, leaving his opponent on his arse in the process.
The cool finish that follows isn’t too shabby either, and all just five minutes into the game.

Sadly for Cueva, Peru threw away a two-goal lead, meaning they’ll now most likely need something from their final group game against Brazil.
That would be tough at the best of times, but it’s even more daunting when you consider the Selecao destroyed Haiti 7-1 in their second group game in Orlando.
Brazil and Peru will meet at the Gillette Stadium in New England on June 12 with the winner guaranteeing themselves a place in the Copa America Centenario quarter-finals. Hosts the United States will be their opponents if they can avoid defeat against Paraguay in their final group game.
