The Beast from the East couldn’t prevent Peterborough United from beating Walsall on Tuesday night.
The League One tie went ahead at London Road, despite the extreme weather conditions.
The pitch was completely covered in snow, but the referee didn’t call the match off.

Peterborough won 2-1 thanks to goals from Omar Bogle and Jack Baldwin. However, they had to work extra hard to get the result and take all three points.
With nine minutes to go, the referee briefly called a halt to the game, as the Peterborough players picked up brushes and spades to clear the snow off the lines on the pitch in an attempt to finish the match.
In this clip from Sky Sports News, former Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor can be seen with a brush clearing the snow off the pitch lines.
It worked a trick, and the match resumed shortly after.
"It's a bit like the Winter Olympics isn't it!" ❄😂
