Wait a minute… we’re pretty sure he doesn’t play for Portugal.
There was a strange sight before Wales’ Euro 2016 semi-final clash against Portugal kicked off in Parc Olympique Lyonnais.
When both teams were lining up to do their obligatory pre-match team photos, Portugal had an extra person posing for the photographer.
One of the ball boys in the stadium hung around and slyly edged his way towards the Portugal team as they were having the team photo taken.
At first, it looked like they didn’t notice him.
Clearly, the guy wasn’t enjoying being ignored, so he decided to make his presence be known.
Rui Patricio copped on pretty quickly and Cristiano Ronaldo was either oblivious to what was going on, or was so focused on posing for the camera that he didn’t want to turn his head.
But Ronaldo finally did acknowledge his fan and embraced the youngster for having the balls to sneak into the team photo.
Then they had the, “wait a second, did we just become best friends?” moment.
It’s the one ship that never sinks, folks – the friendship.
