This Mexican team’s new kits are basically works of art

They belong in a museum.

Ben Kiely

It’s that time of the year again.

We’ve just had the glorious highs of Euro 2016 and now all the football junkies out there who inexplicably haven’t fallen in love with Pokemon Go will have to make do with a weak fix of preseason friendlies and the odd, very early European qualifier.

However, there are a couple of things that will ease the pain of those of you who suffer from withdrawal symptoms from the beautiful game – ridiculous transfer rumours and obscure kit launches.

And everyone knows that when looking for a fancy new kit, you go straight to the Mexican Liga MX. And thanks to Club de Fútbol Universidad Nacional A. C. (aka Pumas UNAM), we think we have found something new to annoy our five-a-side teammates with.

The home and away kits are inspired by the Central Library on the National Autonomous University of Mexico campus, and we think they’ll go down as two of the best strips in the history of the game.

And we haven’t even shown you the gold one yet, which might be our favourite kit of the summer.
