This is so unsettlingly dangerous.
We get that fans are passionate and that the 114-year wait for a Scottish Cup triumph meant a lot to Hibs fans, but the pitch invasion at Hampden Park got way out of hand.
Following the Edinburgh side’s 3-2 victory over Rangers – with the winner coming via a header at the death – police were called in to separate violent exchanges.
The commentators reported certain Hibs supporters goading the losing Rangers players while small groups of Rangers fans took to the pitch and clashed with the rival support, the vast majority of whom just wanted to celebrate.
Police line now in place to separate fans. Some order restored. Shocking scenes. #ScottishCupFinal pic.twitter.com/VbLX73zsnY

Hibernian end the long wait by winning the Scottish Cup – then the moment is overshadowed by an idiotic pitch invasion
