They’re a clever bunch, Paris Saint-Germain
A few weeks ago, rumours were rife that Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, PSG’s two main stars, might be prone to having their heads turned by Real Madrid, who were eager to fill a gaping Cristiano Ronaldo-sized hole in their squad.
Not to worry though. PSG had a plan to stop them craving a move to the Bernabeu: give them a nice all-white away kit to play in. Genius. Absolute genius.
By now, you’ve probably stumbled across the pictures of the French champions’ new, Real Madridy away kit. If not, feast your eyes on it here. It is extremely lovely. Maybe not quite as lovely as the new Parma offering, but still, not bad.
A good few days on from the kit being launched, a special detail which looks set to be used on the shirt’s squad numbers has been revealed. As pointed out by Footy Headlines, the numbers each show a street map of the French capital. The image below, for example, showing the Arc de Triomphe.
It’s yet to be confirmed if PSG will definitely wear the special number prints in Ligue 1 this season, although they’re likely to prove popular regardless.
PSG wore the away shirt for the first time in their preseason defeat to Arsenal in Singapore over the weekend. The special Parisian map numbers were not used on that occasion. Perhaps they’re saving them…
