Singh-along...

They only Singh when they’re winning…

Liverpool supporters comes from far and wide, with people of all backgrounds following their fortunes. Scousers and ‘wools’ alike share in their obsession with the men in red.

Anyone who thinks that multiculturalism has failed in the country needs only to look at the stands at Anfield, or the Emirates, or Old Trafford, etc, to see fans of every creed, colour and faith standing shoulder to shoulder in support of their team.

The Punjabi contingent of Liverpool’s support were as ecstatic as anyone with Jurgen Klopp’s appointment, and some creative sparks have produced this bhangra tribute to their new hero.

Listen to them raise the floorboards as they Sikh to welcome Herr Jurgen…

A (very) rough translation of the catchy ditty is as follows:

Jurgen has arrived!

Jurgen has arrived!

Jurgen has arrived!

Scousers, time to party!

Jurgen has arrived!

Scousers, time to celebrate!

Jurgen has arrived!

With a beard on his face, and his glasses!

With a beard on his face, and his glasses!

Wearing a cap on his head!

Jurgen has arrived!

Whether the Kop adopts the song at games remains to be seen, but we reckon these Punjabi lads won’t be singing it any time soon…
