Rafael dos Anjos has slammed the promotion’s matchmaking for UFC 200

Rafael dos Anjos was not exactly thrilled with the pair of monster fights announced for UFC 200.

The UFC lightweight champion sounds furious with the fact that Conor McGregor can seemingly get exactly what he wants, when he wants it.

McGregor faces Nate Diaz in a rematch of the UFC 196 welterweight headliner and dos Anjos believes it is unfair on the contenders in the division of which ‘The Notorious’ is champion.

McGregor, the 145 lb title holder, fights at 170 lbs for the second consecutive time which has forced the UFC to create an interim title fight so as to prevent the top tier of the feaherweight division from going stale.

Jose Aldo meets Frankie Edgar for the interim iteration of the featherweight title on July 9 and it appears as though dos Anjos is unhappy with the fact that everything is being worked around McGregor’s demands.

Dos Anjos was initially slated to defend his lightweight strap against McGregor at UFC 196 but had to pull out two weeks before the bout with a broken foot.

With no fights on the horizon for dos Anjos, and McGregor destined for the winner of Aldo vs. Edgar II, it will likely be 2017 before we see the realisation of McGregor vs. RDA, if ever.
