Even in the middle of an intense match, tennis superstar Rafael Nadal knows that some things are more important.
Earlier this week, the 30-year-old halted a match so that a distraught spectator could find her missing child.
Rafa was in Mallorca playing a doubles match alongside Simon Solbas against John McEnroe and Carlos Moya.
Video footage shared on social media show Nadal about to take a serve when he notices a disturbance in the audience. The camera then cuts to an upset woman speaking to a steward and calling into the crowd for her young daughter.
The woman then spots here child a short distance away in the crowd, and the tearful mum and daughter are reunited as the crowd applaud.
All the while, Nadal waited patiently on the court for the mum and child to leave the venue again, and on the way out, the grateful woman waves to the player.
The incident didn’t throw Rafa off his game either – he went on to win 3-6, 6-3 and 10-8.
