Raheem Sterling reveals the items he’d take with him to survive on a desert island

Rest easy Bear Grylls.

Sleep easy Bear Grylls; we don’t expect Raheem Sterling to be taking your job any time soon.

The Manchester City star was recently asked by Bleacher Report which *essential* items he’d choose to have with him if he ever found himself marooned on a desert island and it’s fair to say his survival instincts were found wanting.

Instead, he revealed that his priority would be his appearance.

“If I had one small bag I will pack my afro comb, my hair brush, my Sofn’Free (some hair lotion) and probably two change of clothes,” he explained.

“Just to make sure I don’t get sweaty, you know? You gotta look fresh!”

Sounds like a perfectly well thought out plan.

When pressed as to how he’d keep out of reach of any dangerous animals that might be lurking on said desert island, the England international once again gave a carefully considered response.

“If I was attacked by an animal on a deserted island I would most likely run up a tree and stay there. No banter,” he added.

In all likelihood, Raheem (or any modern day Premier League footballer) will probably never find himself in such a situation. Given these answers, it’s probably just as well.
