Nigel Owens is well-known in the rugby world for being one of the best referees in the game.
His no-nonsense style coupled with his quick wit mean the Welshman is one of the most widely liked official in any sport.
So when he felt that Stuart Hogg had dived during Scotland’s 34-16 loss to South Africa, he wasn’t afraid to let him know where to go.
With the game being played at St James Park – the home of Newcastle United – Owens advised Hogg: “Dive like that again and come back here in two weeks and play. Not today.”

We applaud Owens for not only trying to keep such play-acting out of rugby, but having the cool head to remember football’s international break between now and Newcastle’s next home game before delivering the zinger.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Owens has suggested a player switch codes to football…
