It’s no secret that Liverpool are looking to add reinforcements during the current transfer window.
Although, given their current injury situation, they could probably do with a few defenders instead of another attacking midfielder.
But Belgian media, citing sources in Italy, claim that Liverpool are preparing a £22.3 million move for Dennis Praet.
The 21 year old Anderlecht attacking midfielder is highly rated, with an ESPN scout report likening him to Andreas Iniesta, saying:Â ‘Praet is a neat and intelligent attacking midfielder, with good close control and excellent technique and vision.
‘He moves well between the lines, links up effectively with his teammates and is capable of providing an accurate through-ball or shot on goal having advanced forward into the final third.’
However, Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur doubts the move will materialise, and claims Premier League sides West Brom and Aston Villa turned down a move for the player at a lower price last summer.
Italians report that #LFC will offer £22.3m for Dennis Praet. He was available in the summer for £12m, when #AVFC & #WBAFC made an enquiry.

He's probably linked to #LFC, because Klopp once said he liked him, back in his Dortmund days. Not many English teams were interested before

As there were no teams willing to pay between £9m and £12m in the summer, I wonder what they were smoking in Italy. #LFC

Do Liverpool need another attacking minded midfielder by the way?

At the rate Liverpool are losing players to hamstring injuries, maybe wait and see with this one.
