Dana White’s meeting with Nate Diaz in Stockton didn’t go exactly to plan

The rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz has hit another snag.

Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta flew out to Stockton on Friday to meet with Diaz to try to dot the i’s and cross the t’s on a second fight against McGregor.

The two warriors were originally scheduled to slug it out in UFC 200’s main event, but a disagreement between McGregor and the UFC over media obligations saw that fight scrapped, and it was expected that the fight would be moved to UFC 202 instead.

However, White revealed on Twitter that discussions with the only man to defeat the Notorious inside the UFC’s Octagon aren’t going very swimmingly.

TMZ also reported that a meeting in California between White and Diaz “ended abruptly when Dana was visibly angry, stood up and beelined it for his SUV.”

According to the report, White and Diaz met up in a pub and were both in a jovial mood, but things turned sour during the meeting, and White reportedly stormed out when the talk “turned serious.”

It looks like Diaz knows the ball is well and truly in his court now, considering the UFC brass’ meeting with McGregor earlier this week went well, according to the man himself.
