Former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys has thanked people for their support following the news that he is to divorce his wife of 34 years.
But he has accused reports of his marital situation of containing ‘many inaccuracies’, claiming that is something which he ‘expected’.
The Daily Mail reports that Keys’ wife Julia learned of an alleged affair between the beIN Sports anchor and Lucie Rose, a 27-year-old lawyer who the paper claims is a friend of his daughter Jemma.
According to reports, Rose met Keys in Qatar, but has now returned to London.

The paper claims Mrs Keys, who is suffering from thyroid cancer, left the couple’s Qatar home to return to the UK after discovering details of the alleged affair.
She is understood to have filed divorce papers through her lawyers in August.
The presenter has been based in the Middle East since 2013, having resigned his post at Sky Sports two years earlier after tapes of him making sexist comments were leaked to the media.
Andy Gray, who was sacked by the broadcaster for his part in the same sexism storm, currently works alongside Keys on beIN Sports’ English-language coverage.
The Daily Mail reports that Richard Keys and Lucie Rose have both refused to comment, while Julia Keys has failed to respond to requests for comment.
