Manchester City have one of the best squads in the Premier League, if not *the* best.
The arrival of Pep Guardiola as manager, as well as players such as Leroy Sané and İlkay GündoÄŸan, means they are many people’s favourites for the title.
With such strength in depth, rival supporters are clinging on to whatever weak links they can find, and that seems to mean putting the hammer down on goalkeeper Joe Hart.
Hart was arguably at fault for two of Arsenal’s goals in City’s 3-2 pre-season defeat: he could have done more with Alex Iwobi’s opener, before spilling the ball at the feet of Chuba Akpom for the clincher.
It was the last thing the England number one needed after a shaky Euro 2016, when he was beaten low to his left by Wales’ Gareth Bale and Iceland’s Kolbeinn Sigþórsson.
And as soon as news spread of the Arsenal result, fans rushed to mock the 29-year-old – quite possibly because they see City’s shaky back-line as their one weakness.

Are Joe Hart’s hands just holograms?

Some might have gone too far with their criticism, however.
Joe Hart is literally the worst goalkeeper in the world 😂

It seems as though someone isn’t familiar with Minnesota United goalkeeper Sammy Ndjock. Or Aberdeen’s Joe Lewis.
Hart’s got a long way to go to compete with those two. Handing an opposition player an open goal is just minor league stuff in comparison.
