Rival fans rage as Alexis Sanchez handles Arsenal’s opening goal into the net

Handy Alexis

If it was accidental, it was a very fortunate accident.

Arsenal were looking decidedly shaky before they took the lead against Hull City on Saturday lunchtime – and the manner of their opener had many a rival supporter shaking with rage. That’s because the last touch to get it over the line came courtesy of Alexis Sanchez’ glove.

A mittened hand prodded the ball into the net on the 34th minute point, as Sanchez pounced after a Kieran Gibbs shot wasn’t properly cleared. The Chilean ace tried to knock it in via legal means, but the ball bounced up onto his hand and then nestled in the back of the onion bag.

There were plenty of laughs to be had…

But rival fans didn’t see the funny side. They saw it as a case of same old Arsenal…
