Listen, Robbie Keane is going to be back playing football soon. So relax.
It might be at Preston, but we wouldn’t bet on it, but it will be in the UK and he will be joining a new club by the end of the transfer window.
He as good as confirmed that much on Soccer AM on Saturday morning.
“It’s looking likely that it’s going to be the UK. The decision will be made, probably by the end of next week. I had a little injury there for a while. I just got back. I feel fit. I feel healthy and ready to start scoring some goals,” said the Republic of Ireland’s former captain.
His goal-scoring prowess is obviously beyond question, but what some of us may not have known is the Irish international is also something of a master prankster.
Seriously, he didn’t f**k about when he got a chance to prank the Tottenham vice-chairman Paul Kemsley.
“He left his phone, so I text Martin Jol saying: ‘You fat head Shrek lookalike’.”
Jol did not speak to Kemsley for four weeks and Keane never admitted to his crime until he sat down on the Soccer AM couch.
