What a start.
Robert Lewandowski hadn’t managed to score in his first four games at Euro 2016. As a result, some of the internet’s many football experts were suggesting that the Bayern Munich forward wasn’t all that. No, really.
But not even two minutes into Poland’s quarter final with Portugal, Lewandowski broke his European Championship duck.
With a cross from the left played into his path, Lewandowski’s right foot steered it in to the corner  from twelve yards out.
