Some WWE moves are absolutely ridiculous.
The Worm, Stink Face and the Bronco Buster are just three signature moves that you should never break out if you find yourself in a street fight.
Even the iconic People’s Elbow only came about because its creator, The Rock, wanted to come up with a finisher so outrageous that it would make The Undertaker laugh in the ring.

But it turns out that some of the most memorable professional wrestling manoeuvres can actually work in legitimate combat and that’s where Rochdale’s own Jonno Mears comes in.
Mears came out on top in a Full Contact Contender 19 bout in Bolton over the weekend with an actual Boston Crab.
It’s a submission which, in WWE, would so often see combatants press their way up on their hands and crawl to the ropes so that the referee would break up the move.
Chris Jericho used a modified version of the submission, christened it The Walls of Jericho and made it one of the most popular finishers in WWE history.
But he’s never managed to actually make a professional fighter tap out with it, has he?
Mears accomplished that when he clutched both legs of opponent Aaron Jones, pinned them to his side and sat back, forcing Jones’ back to bend uncomfortably.
The tap came and so too did a stamp of approval from the Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla
Hahah see the #WallsOfJericho really works! https://t.co/qJpJLn0lMz
