Don’t you just hate it when your near-bankrupt football club gets targeted by one of the richest institutions in the game.
Barcelona have targeted Romanian club Otelul Galati over a club badge which “closely resembles that of Barcelona,” according to Otelul sporting director Cristian Munteanu.
After playing in the Champions League as recently as 2011-12, the club are now in Romania’s second tier and in danger of going out of business.
It’s like David versus Goliath, only instead of a slingshot, David has a sheet of A4 paper with the words ‘don’t hit me’ written in biro.
So, let’s take a look at the offending badge which has sparked this reaction from Barcelona.
Otelul was asked by FC Barcelona's lawyers to change its badge. Oh, no, another crest scandal in Romania… 🙂 pic.twitter.com/GzK8vKqoL7
