Ronda Rousey is set for another first

Ben Kiely

There really is no doubt at this stage who the UFC’s biggest superstar is.

That title belongs to UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, and ‘Rowdy’ will follow up being the first female to grace the cover of Men’s Fitness by breaking down another barrier.

The combat sports star is set to guest host on ESPN’s massively popular show SportsCenter meaning she will be not only the first MMA fighter to do so, but the first female athlete to take the role ever.

Rousey revealed in a statement that she feels honoured to be involved in the show alongside anchor Lindsay Czarniak.

‘I’m excited to co-host SportsCenter with Lindsay on Wednesday. I’ve always appreciated the support ESPN has shown me and I’m honored to be the first female celebrity co-host!’ she said.

The undefeated champ is set to defend her title against Holly Holm in the main event of the huge UFC 193 stadium event on November 15 in Melbourne, Australia.
