Quite simply, there will never be another Ronnie O’Sullivan.
To be fair, there won’t even be anyone remotely close to another Ronnie O’Sullivan.
The five-time world champion is as enigmatic as he is unpredictable and ‘The Rocket’ added yet another bizarre interview to the archives this week.
O’Sullivan’s Players Championship hopes were dashed on Thursday when he fell to a 5-3 quarter-final defeat to Judd Trump at Venue Cymru in Llandudno.
And ‘The Rocket’ was not in the most talkative form following the match as he responded to BBC Wales’ Gareth Blainey’s questions with strikingly succinct answers.
It was weird.
Then things got weirder.
Following on from one response, which amounted to no more than a “maybe” from the 41-year-old, O’Sullivan broke into song.
“Because maybe, you’re gonna be the one that saves me
“And after all, you’re my wonderwall.”
