Roy Keane shows up at Everton wearing glasses and the internet loses it

Football man watches football.

It really doesn’t take much, does it?

Roy Keane grows facial hair and the world sits up. He fixes his eyes onto someone and hearts everywhere stop. He wears glasses and, Jesus, see for yourself

That’s right, all it takes is for the Ireland legend to show up at a football ground wearing frames and it will not pass without an internet takeover.

His appearance at Goodison Park for the visit of Arsenal is of particular interest though given his recent scathing comments about the club.

Martin O’Neill and Everton have had a strained relationship ever since the Derry man took over the Republic setup. Managers have passed comment at one another, players have missed games in both directions and Roy Keane never made anything much easier.

“They shouldn’t be so quick to stop Irish players coming to play for Ireland,” the United legend last said of the Toffees.

“[Darron Gibson] misses a hell of a lot of games for Everton… so maybe they need to look at their own training schedule.

“I’m not sure when they last won a trophy, maybe as a club, maybe their players need to toughen up a bit.”

Both Seamus Coleman and James McCarthy started for Everton against Arsenal on Tuesday night but the real story of the evening was Keane’s eye-wear.

Yep, they didn’t go unnoticed.

They did it for others.

Loads were just delighted to see him.

But this guy raised a valid point.
