The funeral for the rugby league legend will take place in Pontefract today.
Hundreds of people have lined the streets of Pontefract in West Yorkshire this afternoon to pay their respect to Rob Burrow.
The former Leeds Rhinos star’s funeral is being held in a private service at Pontefract Crematorium.
He passed away ‘peacefully’ aged 41 on June 2, five years after being diagnosed with motor neuron disease.
The ceremony will take place today to coincide with Rob Burrow Day, which has been marked since 2021 on 7 July – a nod to his famous number 7 shirt.
Although the service at Pontefract Crematorium is a private event, members of the public are invited to stand on the roadside so they can pay their respects.
The details of the route were released by Leeds Rhinos with people asked to be in place by 1pm.

Last month, Rugby League paid an emotional tribute to the late star before the Challenge Cup finals.
Wigan Warriors faced Warrington Wolves at Wembley Stadium in the men’s final while St Helens played against Burrow’s former side in the women’s final.
To pay tribute to the 41-year-old, the game kicked off at 15:07 to reflect the shirt number he wore throughout his career.
A minutes’ silence was also held before the men’s and women’s finals respectively and supporters left tributes outside of the stadium.
Fans of both clubs also held up banners during the famous hymn, Abide with Me.
