Ryan Giggs is reportedly considering his future amid Manchester United disarray

JOE

Ed Woodward is not a popular man at the moment.

The Manchester United chief is under fire from fans after reportedly rejecting Louis van Gaal’s resignation for a second time, and now there’s talk of Ryan Giggs piling on further pressure.

The Daily Mirror claim Giggs has intimated he’ll quit Old Trafford unless he’s offered the top job when Van Gaal finally departs.

Apparently there is a genuine fear at United that the Welshman, who briefly took the reins when David Moyes was sacked, may call time on his 28-year career at the club if Woodward moves for Jose Mourinho or Pep Guardiola ahead of him.

Giggs has previously been linked with the managerial position at Swansea, but will continue to assist Van Gaal until the Dutchman eventually steps aside.
