Arsenal vs Liverpool was undoubtedly the match of the opening Premier League weekend.
It was always going to be the most anticipated game of the first round of fixtures, and it delivered with an exciting seven-goal thriller.
Theo Walcott missed a penalty for the home side before making amends just minuted later when he slotted past Simon Mignolet.
But Liverpool hit back just before half time time with a stunning free kick from Philippe Coutinho.
Adam Lallana added a second before another strike from Coutinho put Jurgen Klopp’s side in a commanding 3-1 lead.
And the Reds seemed to be out of sight once Sadio Mane announced his arrival as a Liverpool player with a superb goal – which he followed up by immediately running to Klopp to celebrate with him.

It was a fantastic strike, and Reds fans were thrilled not only with the goal, but with the celebration afterwards.

But that wasn’t the end of the action at the Emirates as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain grabbed one back for the Gunners just a minute after Mane’s strike, and Calum Chambers got another to make it 4-3 ten minutes after that.
Still, it wasn’t enough to appease the #WengerOut brigade who were out in force earlier than usual this season.
