It was all going a little too well for Scotland.
On the cusp of qualifying for Euro 2016, they just needed to win against Georgia – ranked 147th in the world, below Guam and Aruba – to keep things ticking along.
You can probably guess what happened next –Â Valeri Kazaishvili scored for the hosts in the first half, and Gordon Strachan’s men couldn’t find a way back, falling to a 1-0 defeat.

It was a huge shock to everyone…except Scotland’s supporters.
The country’s footballers have failed to reach a major tournament since 1998, and Georgia dented their chances just eight years ago with a 2-0 win that cost them a place at Euro 2008.
Scottish fans might have been cautiously optimistic beforehand, but that soon changed during the game.
The problem with having Scott Brown as Scotland captain is he's far too used to losing away in Europe.

They might have expected it to be bad, but this bad?
0 – Against Georgia, Scotland failed to direct a single shot on target for the first time in a Euro 2016 qualifier, Blunt.
