It’s hard not to feel a little bit sorry for Joe Hart after his eventful summer.
A couple of high-profile mistakes over in France saw him made one of the main scapegoats of England’s dismal stint at Euro 2016, and this was soon followed by the news that Pep Guardiola didn’t fancy him as Manchester City’s first choice goalkeeper.
As a result, Hart made a deadline day move to Italy, and was given a hero’s welcome as he sealed a loan move with Torino.
With the international break out of the way, Hart was primed and ready to make his debut for his new club on Sunday afternoon as Torino travelled to Bergamo to face Atalanta.
Hart, who has been given the number 21 shirt in Turin, was given the nod to start in goal for his new club, although it appears that whoever’s in charge of handing in the official teamsheet isn’t too familiar with the goalkeeper’s preferred choice of first name.

In defence of whoever listed him as ‘John’, many football fans on these shores have only recently discovered that Hart’s first name is Charles, not Joe.
Along with Joseph, John is one of Charles Hart’s two middle names.
