Manchester United flop Shinji Kagawa won’t want to dwell on Japan’s 3-0 victory over Cambodia this week.
Despite the win, and helping himself to a goal in the 2018 World Cup qualifier, the game also featured what was undoubtedly the miss of Kagawa’s career.
The Japanese playmaker ghosted into the area in a first-half attack, and was found by a teammate in the six-yard box – two yards from goal with the open net gaping.
But instead of prodding it gently into the unguarded goal, our Shinji went and passed it sideways into the grateful keeper’s hands.
It really has to be seen to be believed…
