It was a proud moment for Reece Oxford on Sunday as the 16-year-old made his Premier League debut for West Ham in their 2-0 win at Arsenal.
Oxford played like a seasoned veteran in the Hammers’ midfield, comfortably dealing with World Cup winner Mesut Ozil to earn plenty of praise from manager Slaven Bilic.

Following the game, the West Ham boss lauded Oxford’s composure – saying he wouldn’t even blink were he up against Lionel Messi.
That’s right, the best player in the world…
No pressure, kid.
