Stevan Jovetic: Mancini > Pellegrini

JOE

Following the completion of his 18-month loan move to Inter Milan, Stevan Jovetic has aimed a moany parting shot at Manuel Pellegrini.

Speaking at his first press conference as a Nerazzurri player, the Montenegrin told Mediaset Premium of his Mancunian ordeal, and suggested others were unhappy with Pellegrini’s regime too.

“I had problems at Manchester City – but I wasn’t the only one,” explained Jovetic pointedly. “Even when I was in good shape, the coach never let me play.”

The 25-year-old was cut from City’s Champions League squad when they signed Wilfried Bony in January. At the time, Jovetic reacted by saying Pellegrini had ‘killed’ him with the decision.

Still, he seems very happy to be out of Manchester now. In fact he points to Roberto Mancini being a major factor in attracting him to Italy.

“I’m very happy to be part of Inter,” said Jovetic. “I spoke to Roberto Mancini and director Piero Ausilio, and they convinced me to come here. I’m happy with this choice.”

Take that, Manuel.
