Back in 2008, Steven Fletcher was the subject of one of the strangest transfer rumours when the then-Hibs striker was linked with Real Madrid.
It never materialised, of course, and Fletcher went on to play for Burnley and Wolves before settling at Sunderland.
But now the Scotland international could get his move to the continent after all, with the Black Cats reportedly allowing Marseille to speak to the player over a potential move.
Steven Fletcher to Marseille? #headsgone

Marseille are relatively light in attack, and with various clubs expressing an interest in top scorer Michy Batshuayi they will be keen to bring in reinforcements.
And they have previous for taking a look at British talent, with Tyrone Mears and Joey Barton both moving to the south of France in recent years.
Sunderland are unlikely to recoup most of the £12m they paid Wolves for the 28-year-old in 2012, but they could do with offloading the high-earner after making four new signings in this transfer window so far.
