Steven Gerrard has not taken kindly to El-Hadji Diouf’s accusations of racism.
The former Liverpool captain has sought legal advice over his former team-mate’s allegations that Gerrard “never liked black people”.
Ryan Babel, another team-mate of Gerrard’s at Anfield, came to the LA Galaxy man’s defence in the aftermath of Diouf’s comments to Portuguese radio station Radio Future Média.
‘The allegations in those alleged statements are completely false and seriously defamatory of our client,’ Gerrard’s lawyers said in a statement.
