Few footballers divide opinion more than Steven Gerrard.
The former Liverpool captain is still revered atĀ Anfield, but fans of other clubs have often found themselves frustrated by his overly ambitious play.
Many have tarred Gerrard with the ‘Captain Everything’ brush, suggesting he tries to do things all by himself all too often.
They tend to draw on the 35-year-old’s knack for misplaced ‘Hollywood’ passes, and this was in evidence as he turned out for the Liverpool Legends XI in Australia.

It wasn’t all bad, though.
Gerrard still had time to lay on a trademark assist for fellow Champions League winner Luis Garcia in the 4-0 win.
