This gets worse with every watch
In fairness to Bersant Celina, he does slip. That much, we will give him. Sadly, that doesn’t really detract from the fact that this Swansea spot kick – even with the slip – is probably the worst penalty we’ve seen all season. (Possibly ever?)
The Swans trailing to Chris Brunt’s 19th minute opener for West Brom at the Hawthorns, the Kosovan was given the chance to draw his side level from the spot five minutes before the break.
Sadly, as you’ve already gathered, he did not manage to do so.
Attempting to strike the penalty with his right foot, he slips on his left, skidding into the ball. Because of that, the ball ends up going sideways, the spin on it carrying it backwards before it is hacked to safety by a grateful West Brom defender.
If you’ve somehow resisted the urge to scroll down past all the writing and watch it, here, enjoy this…

Swansea began the night in 15th place in the Championship, whereas West Brom – who announced the sacking of Darren Moore as manager last week – were looking to reignite their hopes of getting back in touch with the clubs vying for automatic promotion.
