We’ve seen the Walls of Jericho finish off a mixed martial arts fight recently and now we’ve got a taste of some Sweet Chin Music.
LFA’s Kevin Wirth has ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ to thank for his stunning finish of Isaiah Gutierrez on Friday night.
Wirth opened the LFA 33 main card in style by breaking out the trademark finishing move of WWE legend Shawn Michaels to get the win.

While Wirth didn’t manage to utilise Michaels’ signature stomping which typically preceded his finishing move, the head kick was uncannily like Michaels’ famous move.
Michaels’ take on the Super Kick wasn’t actually his idea at all.

In fact, Michaels used to rely on a different finisher altogether before receiving some advice from the creator of the Royal Rumble, Pat Patterson.
Speaking on Sam Roberts’ Wrestling Podcast, Michaels explained: “When I first went single’s I was trying to use what I later heard was called a teardrop suplex. I just used the double-underhook and crotched a guy and suplexed him.
“So I was using that one and Pat Patterson came to me one day. He said, ‘I like it, but that kick, the kick is actually more impactful than the suplex. What do you think about using that one?’
“And I was still new as a single’s [wrestler]. I said, ‘sure! Heck, I’m just trying anything.’ And so we did that, and then, it just sort of kept going. And then, whatever, you start adding some more flair to it. And all of a sudden, eventually, one day, it begins to take on this life of its own.”
Mark my words, we’re going to see a Stink Face finish in the UFC in the next 12 months.
