It’s hard to quantify how valuable a manager is to a side but if you’re going by annual salaries, Roy Hodgson better do a damn good job this summer.
According to research compiled by Portuguese football finance experts @FinanceFootball, the England boss is the highest paid of all 24 managers who will be in charge at Euro 2016.
Hodgson is reportedly on an annual salary of €5 million, which is almost double what Didier Deschamps, coach of host nation France, pockets each year.
The only salary that isn’t specified is that of Hungary boss Bernd Storck, while the only manager who has agreed to work free of charge is selfless old Leonid Slutsky.
