Liverpool’s impressive demolition of Manchester City at their own ground has seen a flurry of edits made to the Wikipedia page for the Etihad stadium.
Although the mischievous editing now seems to have been halted, it’s clearly amused plenty of people since the full time whistle was blown on Saturday evening.
According to the Guardian, one entry read:
‘As of 22/11/2015, it has been renamed as Liverpool FC U19 Training Ground in honor [sic] of the utter humiliation suffered by the Manchester City first team at the hands of the Liverpool FC first team,’
The article also briefly claimed that the stadium was ‘owned by Jurgen Klopp’.
The changes appeared to have gone down well with Liverpool supporters on Twitter…
