Jamie Vardy has finished in eight place in the vote for the Ballon d’Or, which will surely be another scene in Jamie Vardy: The Movie.
Or maybe not.
Still, though, it’s nice to be recognised for your achievements and the accolade caps off what has been an incredible year for the Leicester City striker. He scored 24 goals as the Foxes won the Premier League title, and we’re also pretty sure he’s the only player on the list who used to mix Skittles and vodka.

The Ballon d’Or is awarded by magazine France Football, and they ranked Vardy higher than players such as Paul Pogba, Luka Modric and Robert Lewandowski. Cristiano Ronaldo won the award, but you knew that already.
Considering Vardy was playing non-league football four years ago, it’s a nice personal accolade for the player. Besides, such lists shouldn’t be taken too serious, after all, football’s a team game.
However, a lot of people on social media reacted with shock that the 29-year-old striker featured higher than some of the game’s most famous players.
His Leicester teammate Riyad Mahrez ranked a place above him in seventh.
