Another day another injury for Daniel Sturridge.
He must be the unluckiest man in the world.
After working his way back to fitness…again, he has picked up yet another injury…again.
The 26-year-old just about made it onto the subs bench for last weekend’s 4-1 win at Manchester City.
But his hopes of actually getting on the pitch for Liverpool’s Europa League clash with Bordeaux have been well and truly dashed.
Jurgen Klopp told BT Sport that the England man has suffered another setback after picking up a foot injury before the game.
The extent of this latest knock is not yet known until the results of a scan come back, Klopp added.
Obviously the internet reacted with sympathy and concern…

This is going to be the 68th game Sturridge has missed for Liverpool through injury. He's made 70 appearances for Liverpool.

In Victorian times Daniel Sturridge would be the poorly child in the attic.
