It’s coming home
On Wednesday night, at 7pm, England will come to a halt. The pubs will fill, the shops will empty, the roads will clear, and Harry Kane will lead the England team out to their first semi-final in 28 years.
England will play against Croatia for a place in the World Cup final. It still hasn’t sunk in, has it? Given the scale of the occasion, British Summer Time will be showing the game in Hyde Park.
And to make the day even more special, the Lightning Seeds will be performing before the match. The band who co-wrote Three Lions with David Baddiel and Frank Skinner haven’t released an album since 2009 but they have been immortalised in English culture by making Three Lions, which should definitely be the national anthem.
We are very excited to announce that we will be performing in Hyde Park @BSTHydePark this Wednesday before the live screening of Croatia vs England #itscominghome #westillbelieve 🦁🦁🦁🏆⚽️ pic.twitter.com/CKI56n4mDo
