There has been a groundswell of support for Conor McGregor since he backed up his predictions with a first round KO of former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo.
Dwayne Johnson has followed McGregor’s career since he made his UFC bow. But the aspect of his weekend triumph that impressed the WWE star the most was his classy post-fight Instagram post.
Along with re-posting McGregor’s Sunday morning missive, Johnson stated:
‘One of the classiest messages and show of respect for his opponent I’ve seen from a champion. Congrats @thenotoriousmma. You’re on your way to becoming an icon. #Respect’
