He shouldn’t be out for long
When Borussia Dortmund were en route to the Westfalenstadion to play their Champions League quarter-final tie against AS Monaco on Tuesday evening, three explosive devices detonated near the team bus.
Fortunately, there were no serious injuries from the explosions, with Dortmund defender Marc Bartra the only player hurt in the incident.
The club released a statement later in the night, which read:
“Marc Bartra underwent an operation on Tuesday night after breaking the radial bone in his arm and getting bits of debris lodged in his hand as a result of the bomb attack on the BVB Team Bus.”
And reports coming from German media on Wednesday morning say that the player should be back sooner rather than later.

A very rough translation of the German blogger’s tweet reads:
“The most important news is that Marc Bartra surgery was successful and will hopefully be back to 100% in a couple of weeks”
And Sebastian Kolsberger, a reporter for German newspaper BILD also said that Bartra is on the road to recovery.
Dazu noch gute Nachrichten! Kein Saison-Aus für @MarcBartra der Spanier ist auf dem Wege der Besserung. #BVBASM
