This Fantasy League manager is doing better than you… despite making no transfers

Inspired picks like Mahrez have helped

Some of us care more about our fantasy football teams than others, that much is apparent.

Many will give up after a fast start to the season takes a hit with injuries to key players, while a few will lose interest after going away for Christmas and forgetting to change their team for a couple of weeks.

But one manager has shown that a strong team in week 1 can mean you don’t need to mix and match later in the season.

Sharon Brading’s team Ashley All Stars is in the top 10 in England and the top 20 in the world, despite her not making a single change all season.

It’s vindication for those who subscribe to the mantra of ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’. Inspired early-season picks like Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez have served Sharon well, while big names selected by other managers have struggled.

But with high-scoring forwards Callum Wilson and Sergio Aguero both sidelined by injury, might she be tempted to make her first changes of the campaign?

We wouldn’t bet on it – why change a winning formula?
