When most people hang up their boots from football, they either go into management or get a cushy job behind the pundit’s desk.
Not former German international goalkeeper Tim Wiese though – he’s lacing up boots of a different kind.
The ex-Hoffenheim and Werder Bremen stopper looks pretty much set to make the switch to the WWE.
Wiese, who is frankly one of the most hench footballers we’ve ever seen, featured in a WWE event in Germany.
But the 34-year-old ‘keeper confirmed he would now be training with the organisation’s top guys in a tweet with none other than Triple H.

The WWE fleshed out some of the details of what Wiese will be doing.
It looks like the German goalie has been invited by Triple H to come and train at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, for an ‘extended training period’.
“Tim is tenacious,” said The Game on the WWE website. “He continues to be very vocal in his desire to prove that he has what it takes, and he has shown tremendous resilience and determination to create an opportunity for himself.
“This is his break to walk his talk. If all goes well in Florida, he will get his chance in the ring.”
It looks like they could be eyeing up a WWE Livw event in Frankfurt in November for his bow in the ring.
Wiese said: “I have been training hard for this, and I am excited for the opportunity. No matter what it takes, my goal is to be in that WWE ring this November. I want that match!”
He’s already got the look down to a T, to be fair to him…
