Jürgen Klopp has captivated the red half of Merseyside more than any manager in a very very long time.
The German led Liverpool to two cup finals in his first season after replacing Brendan Rodgers in October 2015, and he’s attempting to go one better this time around.
Klopp’s men (and boys) have made it to the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup, where they will face Championship side Leeds United, while 20 points from 9 games have plenty of people – even Ryan Giggs – accepting that they are legitimate title contenders.
And the former Borussia Dortmund coach’s popularity at Anfield is plain to see, so much so that fans are even dressing up as Klopp for Halloween.
One fan, Gareth Breen, shared a photo of his son’s Klopp-stume, complete with trademark glasses and facial hair. And we have to say the resemblance is uncanny.

He’s not the first Klopp lookalike we’ve seen this year, of course.
Back during pre-season, eagle-eyed supporters spotted another Kloppelganger in the form of Liverpool coach Andreas Kornmayer, while Reds midfielder Lucas could pass for a younger version of his boss with his glasses on.
When you combine this effort with one Leicester fan’s Claudio Ranieri pumpkin, it’s clear that 2016 is the year of the manager.
